WE BELIEVE:

1. The Bible is God's perfect road map for living.  The Bible is unique not just because it is without error and is full of wise advice.  The Bible stands alone because it is the very words of God recorded for us, contains power to change our lives and has the authority to direct our thinking, decisions, and behavior.

2. There is one God who has eternally existed as Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

3. Jesus is God who voluntarily became a man so He could live the perfect life that we could not live and die the death that we deserved.  Jesus' death on the cross in our place & resurrection 3 days later canceled all of the sins against us in the past, present. and the future.

4. God, the Holy Spirit is very active.  He shows people their need for Jesus, changes believers, gives us power to live the Christian life, gives us gifts to help the church fulfill it's mission, etc.

5. People were originally made in God's likeness but our sinful choices have made that likeness damaged and in need of repair.  This does not mean that we were created as little gods but similar to God we have a will, can reason, are creative, etc.

6. The claims of Jesus are both exclusive & inclusive.  They are exclusive because Jesus made it clear that HE was the only way a person can be repaired, renewed and made right with God and go to heaven.  This means that a person must turn away from a self-directed life & sinful choices and by faith trust in the work that Jesus did on the cross and His resurrection to forgive them and empower them to live a new life. 

The claims of Jesus are also inclusive in that anyone, regardless of gender, race, politics, economics, etc. can be made right with God by putting their complete trust and loyalty in Jesus.  When a person does that the result is a changed person who begins to have new desires for spiritual growth, is actively separating from sin, and wants others to know what Jesus has done in their life, etc.

7. Baptism and the Lord's Supper (Communion) are the (2) practices that Jesus commanded us to continue.

8. There is only (1) church, which meets in many different places around the world, made up of everyone who has by faith become a follower of Jesus.

9. Only believers are eligible for membership in the church.

10. Jesus is the Head or C.E.O. of every local church. 

11. Jesus promised that He would visibly return one day.  No one knows the exact day or hour.  Our role isn't to be passive but to get ready for His return through spiritual growth and reaching out to people who are trying to make life work without Jesus.

12. When Jesus does return, dead and living Christians will be given new bodies and go to Heaven forever.  Those who have rejected God's love and repeated attempts to save them from their sin will face judgement and will be eternally seperated from God in Hell.
